CRTC
Urges Voters
to Reject Charter
Revisions

At a recent meeting, the
Coventry Republican Town
Committee voted to oppose
all of the proposed Charter
Revisions which will be on
the ballot on Nov. 4th.

The motion by Dorothy
Berube stated that the
changes had not been well
enough presented in public
meetings so as to allow
voters a full understanding
of the issues and the impact
their vote.

Berube said "There is
no question presented of an
urgent nature. We can wait
until after this election and
have an in-depth, open to
the public, discussion of the
need for any changes to the
Town Charter".
You Can Help Us
Change Coventry!

Thomas
Jefferson said,
"People in a Democracy
deserve the
government
they have". In other words,
if we don't work to change
our government, we'll get
what we deserve...... SO,

HELP
US ON ELECTION DAY!

We're looking for some civic
minded folks to help us get
out the vote on Nov. 4th.

We need people to act as
checkers inside and greeters
outside at the polls. and, we
need folks to make calls for
us mid and late afternoon.

Even if you can help for only
an hour or two, your effort
may well mean the difference
between a new, dynamic
government you can trust,
or more of the self serving
foolishness we have now.

Think about that and then
E Mail us and
offer to help.
It's
Silly Season

The current, failed,
admin-
istration will try it's best to
convince us that things aren't
all THAT bad! They'll take
credit for businesses coming
to town. (Not that they had
much to do with it.) They will
make nice and
be open with
the press, speaking of their
efforts (?) in our behalf.

Don't be fooled. It's still the
same old,
tired powerbrokers,
trying to stay in power!

This year vote for a change!

Coventry Wins!
GOP
takes 4 of 5 Council seats. Blais re-elected.

In
a stunning upset, Republicans took control of the Town Council for
the first time since 1985. In the face of a national Democrat Party
landslide and since Coventry Democrats out number Republicans by a
huge majority, this is an epic accomplishment!

Ray Spear, District
1, Laura Flanagan, District 2, Glen Shibley, District
3 and Ken Cloutier all won victories.
Congratulations to our candidates, volunteers and all those
who wisely
voted for Coventry's future by voting for change!
THANK YOU!
